Laura Nardelli was born in Sweden by Polish and Italian parents. She is a visual artist working with photography, collage and installations. Her work is influenced from the surrealist movement, specially the thoughts concerning reality and dream. The idea of automatism and the subconscious mind is what fascinates her most and what she likes to explore in her art.

The focus of her work lies in how manipulation of pictures can change the perception of reality.

Laura graduated in photography at Istituto Europeo di Design in Rome in 2004 and has since worked both as a commercial photographer and as an assistant photographer. Her time as an assistant has taken her all around the world.

She has assisted various photographers but the most significant ones were Tarun Khiwal, an Indian fashion photographer and Maleonn, one of China’s foremost artists. After the experience with Maleonn in 2009 she decided to deepen her knowledge in art and attended one year of Art History at the Uppsala University in Sweden. Today she is working from her studio in Gothenburg in Sweden, where she explores new ways of communication trough artistic imageries and pictures.
